In January 2001, IRASM – a multipurpose industrial irradiator was commissioned near Bucharest – Romania at “Horia Hulubei” National Institute for Physics and Nuclear Engineering – IFIN HH.

Having a powerful Co-60 source and automatic operation, IRASM can treat in a reproducible and effective way, large volumes of medical devices, raw materials and finished foodstuff, cosmetics, pharmaceutical packages, industrial products, items belonging to cultural heritage.
